MCTC Bookstore Return Policy
Summer Term 2010
- Books purchased between 7/28/10-9/3/10 may be returned before 9/3/10.
- Books purchased after 9/3/10 are non returnable.
General Policy
- No returns without original sales receipt or web invoice. (This includes financial aid and third party returns.)
- Shipping/handling charges are non-refundable.
- Sales receipts (third party and financial aid) may be looked up and regenerated for a $10 fee.
- Sales receipts (credit cards and checks) may be looked up and regenerated for a $20 fee. This will require a form with an exact transaction date to be filled out. This also requires 24 hours for processing. The $20 is non refundable even if the transaction is not located on the transaction date indicated by the customer.
- New books must be returned in original condition, free from any writing, highlighting or creases.
- New textbooks returned in "used" condition may be eligible for return at a reduced rate of a used book at the discretion of the bookstore employee.
Shrink wrapped textbooks and course packets must be returned unopened in original shrink wrap.
- Shrink wrapped textbooks which are returned are subject to a $20 re-wrap fee if all bundled items are returned in original condition.
- If items are missing or not in original condition the textbook cannot be refunded.
- Opened course packets are non-refundable.
General Merchandise must meet the following criteria:
- General Merchandise returns must be made within 10 days of purchase.
- General merchandise may be returned only if in original condition and with original tags attached.
- Items not in original condition or without original tags are not returnable.
- Customers will need to contact vendors regarding damaged or defective products under vendor warranty. The bookstore is not responsible to contact vendors on the customer's behalf.
- Absolutely no refunds during final exam week.
Non-Refundable Items
- 1. Sale merchandise
- 2. Study aids, study guides and testing guides
- 3. Umbrellas and Ponchos
- 4. Theatre Tickets
- 5. Kits
- 6. Open plastic-wrapped or blister-packed merchandise/textbooks
- 7. Computer software/hardware
- 8. Bus cards/Go To Passes
- 9. ANY item that was a "Special Order" for you
- 10. Fees (printing, campus card replacement, receipt look-up, etc)
